I haven’t done a whole of running the past two weeks, but I have been busy. The last weekend I spent with a couple of friends hunting coyotes. We didn’t get to run that weekend, but we did get a bunch of walking to and from stands where we would call in coyotes. It was a good time with several miles logged. The Monday after that I went for a run. I decided to do more than I was ready for. I ran some hills and got into a place in my lungs that I didn’t know existed. It hurt and I couldn’t stop coughing. I decided to cut it short. I didn’t get to run the next two days after that because of weather, but Thursday was a good day. I ran 3.35 miles in 38 minutes. Not smoking fast, but a lot faster than when I started. The rest of that week and the beginning of the next I took advantage of the good weather and got a bunch of spring cleaning and honey do projects done while working until sundown. I didn’t get a run in until Friday morning. It was 4 miles in 48 minutes. I also went and built a 1/4 mile of fence and ended the day with playing kick ball with my family and a bunch of friends. Needless to say that I slept good that night. There were also a few days that I went and played basketball. I haven’t stepped on the scale for a few days since I have to get to town and get a new battery for it. One of the disadvantages of living 30 miles from town. Oh well, keep on keeping on. It feels good to be getting in better shape and having energy to get a bunch of work done. Hopefully next week will include some more running.
